Join Art as he visits with our local high school football coaches throughout this season. He’ll talk with Freeport’s Jim Anderson on Thursdays at 7:45am, South Walton’s David Barron on Thursdays at 8:15am, and Walton’s Lenny Jankowski on Fridays at 7:45am.

Chelco and CSI’s Loop the Lake 5K Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run is coming up Saturday, September 13^th, from 7-10am. The event is a fundraiser for the 2008 American Heart Association Heart Walk. This year marks the second year of the race. Last year, more than 200 runners and walkers helped raise about $8,000 for the American Heart Association. Information about the run, as well as a race course map and registration forms can be found at www.chelco.com. The early registration cost is $15 and ends September 5^th. Registration after September 5^th is $20. The race begins at 8am at the Amphitheater on Circle Drive. The One Mile Fun Run for children 10 and under begins at 9am. Trophies will be awarded. There will be T-shirts, door prizes, refreshments, and music.
